Sugababes Threaten To Snub Brit Awards If They're Not NominatedNovember 17, 2008
![]() Despite receiving six nominations, the girl band have only one award to their name – Best Dance Act in 2003. "I'm telling you, if they don't nominate us this year, that's it, I'm done. I'm not going,” she told the Daily Mirror newspaper. “They should sack all those old men on the board and leave it to the fans to decide. They don't know what they are talking about." Band mate and only surviving member of the original line up, Keisha Buchanan, added: "I say this in the most humble way but when you think of pop bands the Sugababes are definitely up there. “I'm proud that Gordon Brown is recognising us (they were guests at the the British Prime Minister's London home last week), but why not the Brits? "We're British for God's sake - and we've done well. Surely we deserve an award after all the hard work we've done?" The Brit Awards will take place at Earls Court on February 18th. Kylie Minogue is said to be in talks to host the ceremony. (by Jason Gregory) See also: |
