The Enemy: 'We Won't Sacrifice Guitars For Electro On Second Album'October 22, 2008
The Enemy have promised to maintain their guitar driven sound on their second album.
The band's drummer, Liam Watts said the album would be “punkier” than its chart-topping predecessor 'We'll Live and Die In These Towns'. "Just because guitar music has taken a dip in the charts doesn't mean we're going to start experimenting with electro or anything. We're not going to change what we do best,” he told the Daily Star newspaper. He said the Coventry trio already had thirty songs for the record, which has yet to be titled. “The next album is going to be just as diverse but less polished. We wanted to get a raw, punkier feel to it, closer to the sound you hear when we play live,” Watts added. The Enemy ended their tour in support of their debut album at the Reading Festival in August.
