Take That Wage Album Title War With Britney SpearsOctober 14, 2008
Take That will not change the name of their new album even though it shares the same title as Britney Spears' new record, their manager has said.
Take That are due to release 'The Circus' on December 1st, the same date Spears is scheduled to release 'Circus'. Speaking to the Daily Record, the boy band's manager said he didn't think fans would be confused by the similarities. "The boys have worked on this for months, like Britney, and we certainly won't be changing the title,” he said. "When you work that far in advance, it's impossible to know what people will call albums. Erasure had an album 'Circus'. The name is not copyrighted. "I doubt there will be confusion. Fans will either ask for the new record by Take That or Britney Spears." (by Jason Gregory) See also: Nicki Minaj To Join Britney Spears On Tour (13.04.2011)
