Radiohead Begin Work On Follow-Up Album To 'In Rainbows'September 11, 2008
Radiohead have begun working on the follow-up to their 2007 album 'In Rainbows'.
The band's guitarist Ed O'Brien told the BBC that they were “really excited” by the music that they have created so far. “First we came off tour to do some writing and we wanted to just carry on doing it because it was so brilliant,” he said. 'In Rainbows' was initially available last year as a download only, where fans could name what price they wanted to pay for the album. Radiohead will conclude their world tour in support on 'In Rainbows' in Japan later this autumn. As previously reported, the album failed to win the Mercury Prize on Tuesday after losing out to Elbow's 'The Seldom Seen Kid'. Yesterday, Radiohead's bassist Colin Greenwood told Gigwise the band would have felt “embarrassed” if they had won the prize.
