Snow Patrol Follow In U2's Footsteps On New AlbumAugust 1, 2008
Snow Patrol have recorded their new album, 'One Hundred Million Suns', in the same studios as fellow Irishmen U2.
The band's new album, which is the follow-up to 2006's 'Eyes Open', is due out later this year. Speaking about the project, drummer Jonny Quinn said: "We recorded the album at Grouse Lodge Studios in Ireland and the same studios in Berlin (Hansa) where U2 recorded 'Achtung Baby'.” He also explained that it's “very much melody-based, but it's different too in ways from the other albums.” “It's hard to know what everyone will make of it but we’re happy. I'd go as far as to say I think it's our best album yet," he told the Belfast Telegraph. Snow Patrol are expected to play some intimate dates in support of the album before Christmas this year.
