Yeasayer Inspire Huge Sing-Alongs At 'Muddy' Reading Festival 2010August 27, 2010
Yeasayer paid tribute to the muddy ground conditions during their set at the Reading Festival 2010 today (August 27).
The Brooklyn band thrilled fans with an energetic performance on the NME/Radio 1 stage. Introducing the song ‘O.N.E’, singer Chris Keating made reference to the mud which has been brought on by two days of heavy showers. “You think it’s muddy out here, you should see what it’s like backstage,” he joked. Watched by an impressively large evening crowd, Yesayer’s set included tracks from their debut album ‘All Hours Cymbals’. But it was the more pop-inspired songs from second album ‘Odd Blood’ which drew the biggest reactions. Final song ‘Ambling Amp’ saw the crowd respond to Keating’s request to sing the track’s main chorus. And as they completed the set, he told the crowd: “See you in a couple of years.” (by Jason Gregory) See also: Yeasayer Extend October UK Tour (03.08.2010)
