The Enemy: 'We Want To Record England World Cup Song'

September 21, 2009
The Enemy: 'We Want To Record England World Cup Song'The Enemy's Tom Clarke says the band want to record the official England 2010 World Cup song.

Ever-modest, the singer reckons if The Enemy do release the track it will inspire the national side to victory in South Africa.

And Clarke wants some special guests too, explaining: "I'd like to get Peter Crouch to rap. We'd let him do his robot dance too.

"I reckon WAYNE ROONEY could be an angry rapper. We'd do it just so we could say, 'We've recorded the official England song'."

The Coventry lad blathered on to The Sun: “If we brought out a good song England might win it."

If The Enemy were selected by the Football Association, they'd follow in the hallowed footsteps of New Order, Frank Skinner & David Baddiel and, erm, Embrace.
