The Human League Working On New AlbumDecember 2, 2008
The Human League's Susanne Sulley has confirmed that some of the band's members are working on new material.
Sulley told BBC 6Music that singer and songwriter Philip Oakley has been recording tracks in the studio with the group's session drummer. “I don’t know when or what will happen with it but there’s a good few tracks out there that I’ve got a CD of at home. It sounds good," she said. But bandmate Joanne Catherall admitted that the group, whose hits include the 80s classic 'Don't You Want Me', had yet to decide how to release any future material. “We’ve always been supported by record companies and that’s not happening to as many groups any more and so we have to find another way of getting it out to the public,” she said. The Human League's last album, 'Secrets', was released in 2001. The group are currently on a UK tour. (by Jason Gregory) See also: The Human League Announce New Album 'Credo', UK Tour (07.10.2010)
