Poison Star Bret Michaels To Make 'Full Recovery' After Brain HemorrhageMay 5, 2010
Poison singer Bret Michaels has left hospital and is expected to make a full recovery after suffering a brain hemorrhage, his doctor has said.
Michaels was discharged from St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center yesterday, two weeks after he was admitted with a severe headache. Dr. Joseph Zabramski told the Associated Press that Michaels was now fully conscious, but suffering from back pain when he tried to walk. However, Dr Zabramski said he didn’t expect there to be any long-term side-effects. "This produces a great deal of stress on the body," he said. "This is like being involved in an accident from inside." Two tests showed that Michaels did not suffer an aneurysm, so the cause of his hemorrhage remains unclear. He has been advised to rest for four to six weeks, and it is not clear when he will be able to resume touring.
