U2 Debut New Song 'Glastonbury' At Comeback GigAugust 9, 2010
U2 debuted three new songs, including one entitled ‘Glastonbury’, as they played their first gig in two months in Italy on August 6.
The Irish band returned to the stage for the first time since singer Bono underwent back surgery in May. The injury forced the band to postpone the North American leg of their 360 Degree world tour and cancel their headlining appearance at Glastonbury. U2 played a career spanning set at the Olympic Stadium in Turin, including new songs ‘Return Of The Stingray Guitar', ‘North Star Acoustic’ and ‘Glastonbury’. The latter track included the line: “There are some things you just can’t control; some times you just can let go.” Bono appeared to be back to his energetic best during the performance. Other songs in the bands set included opener ‘Beautiful Day’, ‘Magnificent’ and ‘Elevation’, reports Reuters. U2’s tour continues in Frankfurt, Germany on August 10.
