U2's Bono Makes First Public Appearance Since Spinal Surgery

U2 frontman Bono has appeared in public for the first time since undergoing spinal surgery last month.

The singer was spotted enjoying lunch with friends in St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, France on Wednesday (June 9).

Bono looked in high spirits as he left the restaurant, and was presented with a gift from a fan.

In May, the star underwent emergency surgery in Munich after injuring his back during rehearsals for the band’s world tour.

The injury forced U2 to cancel a string of North American dates, as well as their headline slot at Glastonbury later this month.

It has not yet been confirmed when the band will return to the road.
