U2 Stand 'Good Chance' For Oscar GloryJanuary 20, 2010
Director Jim Sheridan has tipped U2 to win an Oscar for the soundtrack to his new film 'Brothers'.
Sheridan believes the band will walk away with the award for Best Song, after narrowly missing out at this year's Golden Globes. On Sunday night the band's track 'Winter' lost out in the Best Song category to singer songwriter Ryan Bingham, for his theme to the film 'Crazy Heart'. "I'm sorry the lads didn't win a Golden Globe but I think there's a good chance they could get an Oscar instead for Best Song," Sheridan told the Irish Independent. The 82nd Annual Academy Awards takes place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on March 7. (by James Glazebrook) See also: U2 Promise 'Glastonbury On Steroids' Performance (28.04.2011)
