Bono: 'U2 Plan To Release Another New Album In 2009'March 2, 2009
U2 frontman Bono has revealed the group plan to release another album before the end of 2009.
The singer said their next record would be a “companion” to 'No Line On The Horizon', which was released in the UK today (March 2nd). Bono also told the newspaper that the as-yet-untitled album, which could arrive in November, would be a “more meditative and processional tone”. U2 surprised fans in London last Friday by playing a surprise gig on top of BBC Broadcasting House. Their short 20-minute set, which was filmed for TV and broadcast live on radio, caused disruption in the capital as traffic on Regent Street was stopped to allow the band to perform. In an interview last week, Bono said the group would kick of their next tour in “early summer” - and revealed the group were working on recession-friendly ticket prices. U2 will begin a week-long residency on Late Night with David Letterman this evening in New York. (by Jason Gregory) See also: U2 Promise 'Glastonbury On Steroids' Performance (28.04.2011)
