Courtney Love Elected Conservative Rock And Roll Officer At Oxford UniversityJanuary 26, 2011
Courtney Love has been elected the Conservative Association’s “non-executive officer for rock and roll” at Oxford University.
The former Hole star was presented with the accolade during a presentation event on Sunday (January 23). A post on the political blog Order Order said Love also participated in the OUCA Port & Policy debate, during which she praised the recent Wikileaks scandal. Guests also enjoyed an evening where “the teen spirit was port”, the blog added, which is a reference to a song by Love’s late husband and Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. A photo has been released showing Love posing with some of the members of the Conservative Association at the university.
