Billy Joel 'Recovering Extremely Well' After Hip Surgery

Billy Joel is said to be "recovering wel" after undergoing double hip surgery recently.

The singer had the surgery to treat a congenital ailment, People magazine reports.

"Billy Joel is doing extremely well following bilateral hip replacement. He will be back at his Long Island home by the end of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend," his spokeswoman Claire Mercuri said.

Joel recently promoted the documentary 'The Last Play At Shea', which focussed on his 2008 concert of the same name.
