The Velvet Underground singer Lou Reed, priemerd his new 28 minute film about his 102-year old cousin at the Vienna Film Festival.
The film 'Red Shirley' features Reed interviewing his cousin Shirley Novack about her life, including tales of the Nazi threat in 1938, reports the Independent. He added: "At the start of the movie the way she is speaking is almost like poetry: we suffered for this, we suffered for that, and it was like, 'Oh my God, that is a 100 year-old saying that and she deserves a statue, and then if not a statue, a movie." Meanwhile, Lou Reed's classic 'Perfect Day' has been recently been covered by Britain Got Talent star Susan Boyle.
