Blink-182 Postpone UK And Ireland Tour Until 2012

April 18, 2011
Blink-182 Postpone UK And Ireland Tour Until 2012Blink-182 have been forced to postpone their summer UK and Ireland tour until 2012.

In a statement, the group said they were pushing back the jaunt because work on their new album had not been completed.

"It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce our planned 2011 European Summer tour has been rescheduled," they said.

"When we booked the tour last year, we were confident that we would have the new album out before the Summer. Turns out we were mistaken as the album is taking longer than we thought and won't be out till later this year."

They added that they didn't want to tour again until the album had been released.

Original tickets will be valid for the rescheduled dates.

As well as postponing their own headline dates, Blink-182 will also no longer be appearing at the T In the Park festival in Scotland and Dublin's Oxegen festival.

But the band have added an additional three dates to their 2012 tour in Dublin, Belfast and Glasgow.

Tickets go on sale on Thursday (April 21) at 9am.

Blink-182's rescheduled 2012 UK and Ireland tour dates are:

  • Birmingham, NIA - June 7 (was July 1, 2011)
  • London, O2 Arena - 8/9 (was July 18/19)
  • Dublin, O2 - 12
  • Belfast, Odyssey Arena - 13
  • Manchester, MEN Arena - 15 (was July 8)
  • Birmingham, LG Arena - 14 (was July 15)
  • Sheffield, Motorpoint Arena - 17 (was July 7)
  • Newcastle, Metro Radio Arena - 19 (was July 12)
  • Glasgow, SECC - 20
  • Cardiff, International Arena - July 10 (was July 16)
  • Nottingham, Trent Arena - 11 (was July 13)
  • Liverpool, Echo Arena - 12 (was July 4)
