January 4, 2011
Beatles' John Lennon's Abbey Road Suit Sells For $46,000The white suit worn by John Lennon on the cover of The Beatles’ ‘Abbey Road’ has sold at auction for 46,000 dollars, it has been reported.

The iconic two-piece garment was one of a host of items to go under the hammer at Braswell Galleries in Connecticut on New Year’s Day (January 1).

The suit sold for 46,000 dollars (29,700 pounds) along with a 1972 green Chrysler Town and Country station wagon owned by Lennon which sold for 5,500 dollars (3,500 pounds).

Meanwhile, Yoko Ono has said her husband John Lennon would have “loved” Lady Gaga if he was still alive today.
