John Lydon Postpones Public Image Ltd. Album Sessions Following Ari Up's Death

November 22, 2010
John Lydon Postpones Public Image Ltd. Album Sessions Following Ari Up's DeathJohn Lydon has postponed sessions for Public Image Ltd’s new album following the death of his step-daughter, Ari Up.

Up, whose real name was Arianna Forster, died in October after losing her battle with what was described as a “serious illness”.

In an interview with BBC News, Lydon said the rest of the band understood his reasons for delaying the new album sessions.

"We were going to go into the studio but in light of my step-daughter's death, I really can't be doing that at the moment," Lydon said.

"I don't want to leave my wife alone for any length of time right now. So the music side has had to be held."

Public Image Ltd, who reformed last year, released their last studio album ‘That What Is Not’ in 1992.
