New Jimi Hendrix Recordings Released Next Month

February 16, 2010
New Jimi Hendrix Recordings Released Next MonthTwelve previously unreleased Jimi Hendrix recordings will be made available for the first time next month.

The tracks feature on 'Valleys of Neptune' – a newly curated album of songs originally recorded during a turbulent four-month period in 1969.

They demonstrate Hendrix's musical direction between the release of 'Electric Ladyland' in October 1968 and the opening of his own Electric Lady Studios in New York in 1970.

Due out on March 8, 'Valleys of Neptune' is also the first release from Sony's extensive 2010 Jimi Hendrix Catalogue Project.

Hendrix died in London in 1970 under circumstances which have never been fully explained.
