Jarvis Cocker Starts Cashier Job At London's HMV

May 18, 2009
Jarvis Cocker Starts Cashier Job At London's HMVJarvis Cocker started a new, very brief job earlier today - working behind the cash counter at HMV on London's Oxford Street.

Instead of doing a bog-standard CD signing to promote the release of his new album 'Further Complications', the 45-year-old Britpop legend took a more hands on approach by manning the tills for two hours.

After finally getting to grips with the bar code scanner this morning, Jarvis was on his way, serving customers and passing comment on their purchases.

Aside from the odd Handel album (of course), the vast majority of the records Jarvis sold were actually his own.

'Further Complications' is released today.
