The Strokes Are 'Thrilled' With New Self-Produced AlbumNovember 30, 2010
The Strokes' guitarist Albert Hammond Jnr has revealed that the band’s new album was produced by themselves after scrapping early recording sessions.
The follow-up to 2006’s ‘First Impressions Of Earth’, set for release next year, features ten songs which were all recorded in Hammond’s own studio, reports Rolling Stone. "We're all really excited to be stepping into the next chapter," he said. "We spent the last six months recording in my studio upstate and we are beyond thrilled with the 10 songs we have for this record." He added: "I'm positive that you'll be as excited as we are." Meanwhile, The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys will headline next year’s Benicassim festival in Spain. Tickets for the festival are on sale now.
