The Strokes To Play Gig At New York Fashion Week

The Strokes are set to play a private show as part of New York Fashion Week, it's been announced.

The US band will play designer Tommy Hilfiger's 25th anniversary party at the Metropolitan Opera on Sunday (September 12).

Paul Sevigny will also DJ at the invite-only event in Manhattan.

Meanwhile, The Strokes are currently putting the finishing touches to their fourth studio album.

The follow-up to 2006's 'First Impressions Of Earth' is due next March.

The band played a host of UK festival dates this summer, but refrained from playing any new material.
