The Strokes Split Up Venison After Debut London GigJune 10, 2010
The Strokes have split up their new band Venison after just one gig.
A spokesperson said the group, who performed at Dingwalls in London last night (June 9), “wanted to end on a high”. “After a career playing only sold-out shows the band Venison are calling it a day,” a statement on The Strokes’ twitter page added. As previously reported, performing under the temporary name, The Strokes thrilled fans at the intimate gig with a hit-laden 18-song set. The US group were watched by an audience that included Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Luke Pritchard from The Kooks and DJ Edith Bowman.
