Will.i.am: Black Eyed Peas' Only Competition Is OurselvesJanuary 12, 2011
Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am has said he believes the band's only competition is themselves.
In an interview with the Daily Star, the singer said the grouped planned to push boundaries when they record the follow-up to recent album 'The Beginning'. "You always have to look far ahead,” he said. “The listeners four years from now - that's who I’m looking at, that's where I’m switching it up towards. "You have to keep people guessing. As soon as people know what you're going to do, it isn't fun anymore.” He added: "The new project after The Beginning is going to be totally, totally different again. All I'll say is, it ain't music." 'The Beginning' was the band's follow-up to 'The E.N.D', which was released earlier in 2010.
