Glee Creator Calls Kings Of Leon Homophobic

January 27, 2011
Glee Creator Calls Kings Of Leon HomophobicGlee creator Ryan Murphy has branded Kings Of Leon drummer Nathan Followill a “homophobe” over comments he made about the hit TV show.

Followill spoke out on Twitter yesterday (January 26) after Murphy criticised the band for refusing to license their music to the show.

In a post on Twitter which has since been removed, he said: "Dear Ryan Murphy, let it go. See a therapist, get a manicure, buy a new bra.

“Zip your lip and focus on educating 7yr olds how to say f*ck."

Followill later apologised to “anyone that misconstrued by comments as homophobic or misogynistic”, but not before Murphy slammed the star.

"Wow. That's a homophobe badly in need of some education,” he toold celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

“I'm all for manicures, don't wear a bra. Would guess most gay dudes don't. But it's telling that Nathan can reduce a group of people to a mean-spirited cliché, in a time where young gay men are killing themselves all over the country because of hatred like this."

The feud between Kings Of Leon and Glee arose after the band refused to allow the programme to re-imagine their hit 'Use Somebody'.
