Courtney Love Elected Conservative Rock And Roll Officer At Oxford University

January 26, 2011
Courtney Love Elected Conservative Rock And Roll Officer At Oxford UniversityCourtney Love has been elected the Conservative Association’s “non-executive officer for rock and roll” at Oxford University.

The former Hole star was presented with the accolade during a presentation event on Sunday (January 23).

A post on the political blog Order Order said Love also participated in the OUCA Port & Policy debate, during which she praised the recent Wikileaks scandal.

Guests also enjoyed an evening where “the teen spirit was port”, the blog added, which is a reference to a song by Love’s late husband and Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

A photo has been released showing Love posing with some of the members of the Conservative Association at the university.
