The Dead Weather Wow Fans At Brixton Academy

October 29, 2009
The Dead Weather Wow Fans At Brixton AcademyThe Dead Weather played a triumphant sell out show at London's Brixton Academy last night (Thursday October 28).

The band, consisting of Jack White, The Kills' Alison Mosshart and members of Queens of The Stone Age and The Raconteurs, played an hour long set featuring material from their debut album 'Horehound' as well as new unrecorded material.

White introduced one new song, 'Jawbreaker', by saying, "We just wrote this song this afternoon and have never played it before.

Despite playing drums for the band Jack White regularly came out to the front of the stage to duet with Mossheart and play guitar much to the delight of the audience.

After an encore of 'Cuts Like A Buffalo' and 'Treat Me Like Your Mother' the band left the stage with White inviting the whole audience to their free show at St Leonards Church in Shoreditch this Saturday.
