Mick Jagger: 'I Wish I Could Change Rolling Stones' Shine A Light Film'October 27, 2008
Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has said he would like to change elements of the band’s film documentary Shine A Light.
The film, which is directed by Martin Scorsese, follows the band during their two night residency at New York’s Beacon Theatre in 2006. Speaking ahead of the film’s DVD release next month, Jagger said: “I watched it all the way through at the premiere but, when I watch it now, I can’t help thinking ‘I wish we’d changed that bit’. “Or, ‘Oh, we should have left that bit out’. Or ‘I wished we’d put that bit back in.’” Despite his reservations about the finished edit, Jagger said he was aware that nothing could be changed. "I knew what was going on. I knew what we were doing. You have to put a different hat on,” he said. “You start off with the movie idea and then you’re the performer, so of course things always surprise you. You wouldn’t be human otherwise. You’d be very jaded.” Shine A Light includes guest appearances from Jack White and Christina Aguilera. The film is released on DVD and Blu-Ray on November 3rd.
