Gwen Stefani: No Doubt Recording Depeche Mode Inspired Album

April 12, 2011
Gwen Stefani: No Doubt Recording Depeche Mode Inspired AlbumGwen Stefani has revealed details about No Doubt's new album.

The singer, who is currently in the studio recording the follow-up to 2001's 'Rock Steady', said that No Doubt have completed ten tracks for their comeback album which will hopefully be out this year.

"The main thing we were trying to do was write really catchy, good songs. There's a lot of upbeat songs. It's generally a pretty happy record., Stefani told KIIS-FM.

Describing the inspiration for the new album she added: "all the music (they) loved" including Depeche Mode to The Cure, as well as hints of reggae and ska.

Meanwhile, No Doubt announced they are planning to embark on a huge world tour in support of the new album.
