Brandon Flowers: 'The Killers New Album Is Our Best Yet'September 16, 2008
The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has called the band's new album, 'Day and Age', they're best yet.
Flowers told Rolling Stone that producer Stuart Price had been influential on the record, which is released on November 24th. “I think it was like that freedom that Stuart gives you to just - if you want to try something - to nobody was afraid to try it,” Flowers said. “We brought in a sax player. Tommy, he's our buddy. He's probably going to come on the road with us. And Ronnie [Vannucci, the band's drummer] brought in his buddy—this Cuban guy, that's a percussionist. “We all just kind of said, you know, fuck it. You know, people laugh at sax solos. We just said, fuck it.
” As previously reported, the band's follow-up to 2006's 'Sam's Town' will be preceded by the single 'Human'. Other tracks scheduled to appear on 'Day and Age' include, 'Losing Touch', 'I Can't Stay', 'Joyride' and 'Dustland Fairytale'. Two other tracks - 'Spaceman' and 'Neon Tiger' – will also appear on the record. (by Jason Gregory) See also: The Killers To Play Hard Rock Calling Festival 2011 (18.04.2011)
