Lostprophets On Course For Second UK Number One With 'The Betrayed'

January 20, 2010
Lostprophets On Course For Second UK Number One With 'The Betrayed'Lostprophets look set to hit number one in the UK this weekend with their fourth studio album 'The Betrayed'.

The Welsh rockers are currently 2,000 sales ahead of this week's number one, Florence & The Machine's 'Lungs', according to midweek sales.

If sales continue at the current trajectory the Lostprophets will scoop the top spot, however, thanks to Florence's ubiquitous presence on TV adverts and shows she's likely to get a boost as the week goes on.

In 2006, Lostprophets scored their first ever UK number one with their third album 'Liberation Transmission'.

Meanwhile, the band were at HMV in Cardiff yesterday (January 19) to sign copies of 'The Betrayed' for fans.
