The Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim To Close TurnmillsFebruary 25, 2008
The Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim are both set to play the closing weekend of legendary London nightclub Turnmills.
The dance music heavyweights will headline the Saturday night (March 22) of the club’s last ever weekend. Also appearing on the same night are Justin Robertson, James Holroyd, Dan & Jon Kahuna and xfm’s very own John Kennedy. The Friday night line-up doesn’t look quite as mouth-watering with Judge Jules, Tall Paul, Seb Fontaine, Sister Bliss and Brandon Block playing the last ever Gallery at Turnmills. On the Sunday, house music veterans Frankie Knuckles, Danny Rampling and CJ Mackintosh play the main room of The Last Dance. Lottie and XPress2’s Ashley Beedle will play the second room. Danny Rampling says of the closing weekend: “After many years of fun at Turnmills, obviously I’m really sad to see the club go. And so in the spirit of Turnmills prepare for a marathon weekend of events as we bid a fond farewell to one of London’s greatest ever clubs. Prepare to stay late!” (by Scott Colothan) See also: The Chemical Brothers Announce Two London Gigs (08.02.2010)
