Scorpions Inducted Into Rock Walk Of FameApril 7, 2010
Heavy metal veterans Scorpions have been inducted into the Rock Walk Of Fame in Hollywood.
Rudolf Schenker, Klaus Meine, Matthias Jabs, James Kottak and Pawel Maciwoda were all present at the ceremony at the Guitar Center yesterday afternoon (April 6). Each of them placed their hands in a long slab of wet cement which, when hard, will appear on the pavement outside the store alongside other famous names from the world of rock. Motorhead legend Lemmy Kilmister was amongst the crowd gathered outside the Los Angeles store. Formed in Hanover in 1965, Scorpions have sold over 100million albums global during their sprawling 45 career and have spawned massive rock hits including 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' and 'No One Like You'. In January the band announced that their 17th studio album 'Sting In The Tail' would be their last album and they will split when their current world tour is finished.
