Take That's Gary Barlow To Play 40th Birthday Radio 2 GigJanuary 12, 2011
Take That singer Gary Barlow is to perform at a special concert to mark his 40th birthday in London next week.
The GB40 event will take place at Shepherd's Bush Empire on January 20 – the same as his birthday. Friends, family and fans will see Barlow perform songs spanning his 20 year career. The concert will also be broadcast live on BBC Radio 2 from 8-10pm. Meanwhile, ahead of the gig, the singer is set to join Chris Evans on his Radio 2 breakfast show on January 19. “Gary is a star, a musical genius and a gentleman and we can’t wait to help him celebrate this milestone birthday on the Radio 2 Breakfast show,” Evans said. Profits from GB40 will go to charity. Barlow will join the rest of his Take That band mates on a UK tour in the summer.
