Coldplay: 'Girls Aloud Will Make Our Fans Happy At Wembley'December 10, 2008
Coldplay have chosen Girls Aloud to support them at London's Wembley Stadium next year in order to make their fans happy.
“They’re going to be so much fun and that’s ultimately what we want to do,” the band's drummer, Will Champion, said. “Sometimes we find ourselves taking ourselves very, very seriously and we don’t want too much head scratching or brow furrowing. Ultimately we want people to have a happy time.” Girls Aloud will join Coldplay on September 18th, a day before the band play the same venue alongside rapper Jay-Z. Champion told BBC 6Music that they had chosen both acts because they are “the best in their field”. Coldplay's two shows in London form part of a short stadium tour, which also includes dates in Manchester and Glasgow.
