Take That Record Song About Amy WinehouseNovember 20, 2008
Take That have apparently recorded a song about Amy Winehouse on their new album, 'The Circus'.
The track, entitled 'How Did It Come To This?', is about “a girl in Camden Town” who is living her life in the glare of the public eye. Jason Orange wrote the song, which is said to include the lyrics: “All this noise and all these lights/All this talking through the night. “All this expectation now it’s making me neurotic/ Tell me have I seen your face before? How did it come to this?/ How did it ever come to this?” Another line - published by The Sun newspaper - appears to appeal directly to the individual at the centre of the song: “Have you turned on your TV?/ Have you seen reality?” 'The Circus', released on December 1st, is Take That's second new studio album since they reformed three years ago. The boy band will be shooting a Christmas special for ITV this weekend which is reported to feature former member Robbie Williams.
