Razorlight Lose Out To Girls Aloud In Album Chart RaceNovember 10, 2008
Girls Aloud's fifth studio album, 'Out Of Control', has gone straight in at number one on the UK charts.
The album held off a challenge from Razorlight's 'Slipway Fires' - a new entry at four. In the singles chart, The X Factor finalists' remake of Mariah Carey's 'Hero' stayed at number one for the second week. The net profits from the song are being donated to the Help For Heroes charity, which helps servicemen and women injured in battle, and the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. The highest new entry was Beyonce at number two with 'If I Were A Boy'. Meanwhile, Britney Spears new single 'Womanizer' went in at number four on download sales alone.
