Susan Boyle Confronted By Intruder At Her Scotland HomeJanuary 27, 2010
A man was detained by police in Blackburn, West Lothian last night (January 26) after allegedly breaking into Susan Boyle's home.
The man is reported to have entered into the house after the 48-year-old singer answered a knock on her door. Boyle had just returned to Scotland from London where she had been recording lines for Simon Cowell's Helping Haiti single 'Everybody Hurts'. Police arrested the man at the scene but he was later released. A police spokesperson said: "Lothian and Borders Police were called to an address in Blackburn at around 9.50pm yesterday following reports of a disturbance. "A man was detained in connection with the incident and released pending further inquiries." Despite notching up millions of sales of her debut album 'I Dreamed A Dream' around the globe, Boyle has not moved from her council tax home. She recently treated herself to a new sofa with her first hefty pay cheque. (by Scott Colothan) See also: Susan Boyle: I Want To Duet With AC/DC (17.12.2010)
