Pulp To Announce Own Gigs Alongside Festival Slots?April 5, 2011
Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has suggested that Pulp are set to play their own gigs alongside their festival slots this summer.
The Sheffield band have so far only confirmed a series of festival shows as part of their recent reunion. But Eavis appeared to reveal more comprehensive details about their tour diary when asked during an interview with eFestivals whether Pulp were set to play Glastonbury. "Pulp are doing Reading, and they're doing their own shows, so there's no point in us doing them as well," he said. Asked if their were definitely not playing Glastonbury, he replied: "Definitely not, no." Eavis also confirmed that The Libertines would not be performing at the festival, which is set to be headlined by Beyonce, U2 and Coldplay.
