The Beatles and Susan Boyle Boost British Sales In The USApril 16, 2010
New figures show that British music is still making waves in the US largely thanks to The Beatles and Susan Boyle.
Over the post 12 months, The Sun claims British artists have accounted for one in ten albums sold Stateside – a significant percentage of the market. The phenomenal rise of Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle gave British sales a massive boost.
MO Meanwhile, The Beatles reissued all of their 14 albums in a remastered format – a collection of works that shifted in excess of 3.2million units.
The recent success of Jay Sean in reaching number one in the US could herald more success for British artists.
