Willie Nelson Arrested For Drugs Possession

Willie Nelson has been arrested on charges of drugs possession after police found 6 ounces of marijuana on his tour bus.

The bus was pulled over at a checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas on Friday morning (November 26).

US Border Patrol spokesman Bill Brooks told the Associated Press they searched the bus after an office opened a door and smelt the drug.

Nelson was one of three people arrested and was briefly held before being released on a $2,500 bond.

A spokesperson for the American country singer declined to comment on his arrest.

Nelson is currently on tour in the US and is due to perform at Winstar Casino in Thackerville, OK tonight (November 27).
