Whitney Houston Fans 'Walk Out' Of London GigApril 26, 2010
Hundreds of fans walked out of a Whitney Houston concert in London on Sunday (April 25), it’s been reported.
Fans were said to have been left upset by the singer’s poor vocal performance during the show, which was the first of three dates at the O2 Arena. Houston, who was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection earlier this month, is said to have apologised repeatedly for her performance. According to USA Today, after struggling through ‘I Will Always Love You’, the 46-year-old singer told fans: "She don't want to come, my soprano friend.” One fan described the gig as “rubbish”, adding: "She can't even complete a song." Houston’s inconsistent performances on her Nothing But Love world tour have already triggered a huge backlash from fans. A fan who saw Houston open the UK leg of the tour in Birmingham earlier this month described the show as “the worst live gig I have ever been to”. Houston is due to perform at the O2 Arena again tonight (April 26) and on Wednesday (28). (by Jason Gregory) See also: Whitney Houston Booed As She Makes UK Gig Comeback (14.04.2010)
