Ronnie Wood: 'The Faces Enjoying Fantastic Reunion Rehearsals'December 2, 2008
Guitarist Ronnie Wood has revealed that the Faces are enjoying some “fantastic rehearsals” and are ready to return to the road.
The group, who confirmed their reunion plans last month, are also in talks to record a new album. Frontman Rod Stewart's touring bassist, Conrad Korsch, has been playing with the group in rehearsals, replacing Ronnie Lane, who died in 1997. Although Wood said that a host of bass players, including Red Hot Chili Peppers Flea, had approached them about joining the reunion. Asked about when they would hit the road, Wood replied: “We just have to sort out when and where and drop all of the management egos and just do what we can. We know we can do it. “It’s just a matter of getting everyone’s availability sometime next year.” The guitarist also confirmed that his other group, The Rolling Stones, were discussing their next project together.
