Robbie Williams' Sport Relief Single Bombs On UK Singles ChartMarch 15, 2010
Robbie Williams' single for Sport Relief has failed to chart inside the top-40 on the UK singles countdown.
'Morning Sun', which is taken from the singer's recent album 'Reality Killed The Video Star', entered at number 60 on Sunday (March 14). It is the first time since the charity event started in 2002 that a Sport Relief single has failed to chart inside the top-5. The most recent release, 2008's 'Better In Time' by Leona Lewis, was a top-2 hit, while McFly's 'Don't Stop Me Now' was number one in 2006. Elsewhere on the singles countdown, Tinie Tempah claimed the top spot for a second week with ‘Pass Out’, according to the Official Charts Company. Rihanna’s ‘Rude Boy’ was at number two, while youngster Justin Bieber and Ludacris’s collaboration, ‘Baby’, climbed to number three from outside the top-100. The album chart was topped by Boyzone, who beat Gorillaz' 'Plastic Beach' in the race to number one. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Robbie Williams 'Big Brother' To Princess Beatrice (12.04.2011)
