Robbie Williams Teams Up With Amy Winehouse Producer For New AlbumJanuary 27, 2009
Robbie Williams has been working with Mark Ronson on his new album, his manager has revealed.
Tim Clark said the singer had recorded a “very interesting song” with the producer, who was responsible for Amy Winehouse's 2006 album 'Back To Black'. Williams, who is due to enter the studio in March or April, has also written tracks with former songwriter partner Guy Chambers and Soul Mekanik. "He's now looking for producers. Nothing further has been said yet, but he's talking to a lot of interesting people,” Clark told Music Week. The singer's manager also said it would make “no sense” for Williams to sign a conventional record deal when his current agreement with EMI ends. Williams is due to deliver two more albums – one studio release and a 'best of' – before his five-album deal with EMI expires. Clark said Williams would not consider signing another “old-fashioned record deal” and was more interested in exploring new avenues to release his music. Williams is due to release his new album before the end of 2009. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Robbie Williams 'Big Brother' To Princess Beatrice (12.04.2011)
