Robbie Williams Will Never Return 'Full-Time' To Take ThatJanuary 26, 2009
Robbie Williams will never rejoin Take That on a full-time basis, his manager has said.
Williams triggered speculation about his future last month when he wrote on his website that he would “love” to rejoin the boy band. However, in an interview with the Sun newspaper, Williams' manager Tim Clark said the singer had no plans to return on a permanent basis and was more focussed on his solo career. "They are all great friends again. Whether Robbie pops up at Wembley Stadium is up to him. But he is not going to become a full-time member,” Clark said. Williams' departure from Take That in 1995 triggered the boy band's initial demise but since reforming without the singer they have enjoyed a hugely successful re-birth. All of the group's remaining members - Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Mark Owen – have hinted that Williams could rejoin them after their forthcoming UK tour. Meanwhile, Clark also told the newspaper that Williams may explore new ways to release his music, including dropping CDs, when his current record deal with EMI ends. “Robbie’s got a Best Of to come on his contract after releasing a new album this year,” he said. “He will then look to his future. We will engage with a range of people and Robbie will have his ideas.” (by Jason Gregory) See also: Robbie Williams 'Big Brother' To Princess Beatrice (12.04.2011)
