Rihanna, Chris Brown 'Both Return To Recording Studio'March 10, 2009
Rihanna and Chris Brown have both begun recording new material, just over a month after the couple were allegedly involved in an violent altercation in Los Angeles, it's been reported.
Brown is said to be working on a follow-up to his 2007 album, 'Exclusive', while Rihanna is apparently recording new tracks with Mariah Carey producer Adonis Shropshire. Both artists are trying to escape the high profile media attention triggered by Brown's alleged attack last month. Speaking to HipHollywood, Shropshire said Rihanna was "doing OK ... I mean, of course [with] the situation, she's all right. "You have to remember, she's still a kid. With anybody in the world that goes through something, you have to bring yourself out of it,” he said. “So I guess her refuge is her music, of course, as it should be.” Shropshire added that Rihanna's new recordings were in the “same direction” as tracks from her last album, 2007's 'Good Girl Gone Bad'. As previously reported, Brown was last week charged with two felonies in connection with the incident with an unnamed woman, believed to be Rihanna, on February 8th. Brown will find out next month whether he faces jail time for the alleged attack. The singer has already issued a public apology over the reported incident. Rihanna has refused to comment.
