Trent Reznor Hails 'Surreal' Golden Globes Win For The Social NetworkJanuary 17, 2011
Trent Reznor won Best Original Score for The Social Network at the Golden Globes in Los Angeles last night (January 16).
The film, which recalls the founding of Facebook, dominated the ceremony, taking home four awards, including Best Dramatic Picture. Reznor, who wrote the score with Atticus Ross, looked emotional as he collected the prize. "A year ago I had no idea I'd have the opportunity to score a film," he said. "The idea of standing up here to accept this award is surreal." In a message on Twitter, the Nine Inch Nails frontman also wrote: “Holy sh*t.” The Social Network also won Best Director for David Fincher and Best Screenplay for Aaron Sorkin. Meanwhile, musical TV show Glee was named Best TV Musical or Comedy, as well as two supporting actor prizes for Jane Lynch and Chris Colfer.
