AC/DC, Deftones and Megadeth Confirmed For Download Festival 2010January 26, 2010
AC/DC have been confirmed as the first headline act of Download Festival 2010.
Also confirmed on the line-up are Them Crooked Vultures, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Bullet For My Valentine, Megadeth, Motorhead, Wolfmother and Volbeat. It was widely expected that AC/DC would be unveiled as the first headline act after the band themselves confirmed it on their official website in December, only for it swiftly to be deleted. More line-up announcements will come in the coming weeks. 2010 will mark a special year for Donington Park which will be celebrating its 30th anniversary of hosting rock festivals since the very first Monsters Of Rock back in 1980. For AC/DC it's also the 30th anniversary of their seminal album 'Back To Black' which they're rumoured to be playing in its entirety at the festival. Download Festival 2010 takes place at Donington Park, Leicestershire from June 11th to the 13th. (by Scott Colothan) See also: Susan Boyle: I Want To Duet With AC/DC (17.12.2010)
